After the Second World war a lot of new buildings arose in the inner-city, among which a lot of high-rise. Famous architects like Quist, Koolhaas and Coenen put their mark on the appearance on the city. But Rotterdam has a longer history in the field of significant architecture. Brinkman & Van der Vlugt and J.J.P. Oud already introduced many remarkable designs to the people of Rotterdam in the nineteen thirties.
During the tour we will cycle along more than a hundred years of architecture. We’ll stop on the metal Schouwburgplein, on high-rise street Weena, on the Southbank and at the Cube Houses by Piet Blom.
